We will visit Sri Lanka on the largest and most popular Buddhist holiday: Vesak or Visakha Puja, which means Buddha’s Day; It is the holiest day of the Buddhist calendar.<\/p>\n

It commemorates the birth of the Buddha, his enlightenment and his passing; it is a festival to be experienced once in a lifetime.<\/p>\n

We will tour part of Sri Lanka visiting its most important temples, such as the Pidurangala rock monastery, and the city of Kandy, known as the city of hills, where many of the traditions, folklore and legends are kept alive.<\/p>\n

The biggest focus of attention in the city is the golden-roofed Temple of the relic of Lord Buddha.<\/p>\n

Sri Lanka is certainly one of the best places to learn about Ayurveda medicine and experience a traditional ayurvedic massage.<\/p>\n
